Now that's really cool!

The initial portion and ending looks like something out of "The Time Machine".

I wonder if this could be used to observe blade stresses. Maybe make a commercial for Edge rotoblades.

Thanks for posting. I especially like the reflections on the blade. Maybe it's just the rolling shutter but it looks like the lead/lag angle is changing sometimes too.

Yea the lead lag is interesting. I wonder if someone makes a very tiny CCD cam that someone could use on the blade. No rolling shutter issues so you would see a non-distorted image.

EDIT: I had CMOS and CCD mixed up.

You mean CCD. The camera in that video was CMOS.

The CCD you'd not get the panorama effect. You'd just get a shot at the direction the camera was facing.

EDIT!! brtmac was right. I had it backwards. CMOS has a rolling shutter that reads line by line. CCD takes a moment in time picture.
