Default YGE settings for Stock compass motor

What are you guys using?

Right now I am at 9khz and 12deg of timing.

12khz PWM and Auto timing for me. If you are going to set timing use 18 deg as it's around the point of nice power with a bit less than full power.

Thanks. How did you come up with these numbers? What is the right way to figure it out?

Trial and error mostly.

There's a "calculation" floating around out there, but it's hogwash ...

All brushless outrunners are 18* or higher for timing (more timing = more power = moer heat)

Adjust the PWM to the one that give the best balance of power and motor/esc/battery temperatures. PWM set incorrectly can lead to a variety of issues like a motor that just doesn't run / feel smooth.

I use pwm10 - 18timing

More than enough power. Everything runs nice and cool.
