Not saying you can't. Just won't be easy. You'd have to use some kind of rubber or plastic insulators where the binding posts go through. Best bet would probably to just put the binding posts in the deck like this.

Top cases right now.

Harbor Freight - http://www.harborfreight.com/18-in-x...ase-62271.html

Used to be the cheap option, but I think that there are better ones out there.

Home Depot Rigid - http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-22...2571/205440492

This is very popular right now and priced the same as the HF one. Nice and solid. There is a company building bump charger cases around this one.

Finally a new one.
Sam's Club - http://www.samsclub.com/sams/16in-sa...lp:product:1:2

For $20, it's pretty nice. Solid construction. I bought one of these to rebuild my case. I wanted something a bit more solid than the Plano box I was using.

This is the case I'm using for my charger box....the top is flush with the bottom portion.....under is a Meanwell 2000-48, revo DPL8, 48v-12 volts converter and 4 60x60mm fans (2 on each side)

Attached to the top is a revo bump controller plug for power and balance leads and a USB connector......on top is 2 x revo parallel board (6 ports each)

In the lid an android, which will be replace by an iPad once the iOS software is out.

Think I found it... about $20 - these dimensions fit my set up perfectly for what I want to achieve.

Anyone have any "stupid small" cases they can show off to me? Looking for something small that can pack a punch. I'd say at least 500W. I squeezed a GTEight in my Pelican 1150... it barely fits. But there's no power supply. I'd love something similar, but big enough that a DPS1200 or possibly two would fit. I'd be more interested in something like this *incomplete* one (attached) where the connectors come out the side and I can put my paraboard and batteries on the ground... I don't like the idea of squeezing 6 packs onto a small case deck. One that had a bump controller and the lid didn't even need to be opened to use it would be even more awesome.

Check out the Plano SE four, I have a gt1200, a protek prodigy 1200w and antimatter fitting (both sides), it opens flat and is cheap $20. You have to be creative and it just fits everything perfect.

As it turns out I CAN fit the DPS1200FB in my current case. BARELY. And I had to drill a hole in the side to plug it in, there's no room for the plug inside the case. It's 3-4x the power of the 300W supply I bought, about 1/2 as tall, about 2/3 the width, and shorter in length Man has technology advanced since the days of old supplies! The DPS1200 is truly remarkable!

So after discovering that, I went ahead and bought a Pelican 1300. Huge fan of the Pelican 1150 as far as quality so figured I'd get another Pelican. Should be able to fit my DPS1200 (possibly two of them), four 50mm PC fans, GTEight, and room for ventilation with ease... and it's only a couple inches bigger of a case. My Pelican 1150 would work great if it was taller. Unfortunately with the DPS1200 in there, the lid won't even come close to closing over the GTEight.

Here's my new one.

800W squeezed into a case 11x10x7". Could easily do 1200W if I got a GT1200 (identical size to GT Eight).

Still need to do cooling but that's pretty simple. I have fans and grills coming in the next couple days. In the meantime I'm not charging very big batteries so I'm not too worried about heat right now.

Pelican 1300 Case

DPS1200FB x 2
PERFECT fit, maybe 1mm to spare front to back, maybe 3-4cm left to right of space which is not enough room to plug in IEC cable so I had to solder my own cables directly... a right angle IEC would likely have worked though.

GTEight
Great charger. Same size as PowerLab 8 and GT1200.
