Default STUCK no com ports detected

GENTS,
I am running windows 8. I have downloaded both johns and tarots platforms to program the zyx2 gyro as well as the win 8 driver and nothing when I pull them up neither shows any com ports available. the zyx2 has version 4,0 in it. stumped
sorry about the casing as im typing with one hand. shoulder surgery, thanks all

John's software won't work with the V2, you need to ensure that you use the correct Tarot s/ware.

Windows 8 can be tricky with device drivers - but I can't remember the tricks I'm afraid - sorry

Just my .02 and probably not relevant: I have to have my CopterX powered up and plugged in to the USB port BEFORE I start the FBL software or I don't see a com port populated in the dropdown.

But "Blame Microsoft" is always a good starting position, especially if you're running Windows Me, er Windows Vista, er Windows 8... (So many bad OS versions to keep track of... )

ya tried that....nothing but thanks. I am running the win. 8 driver as well....still working on colorful adjectives
