Default Where to buy

Ok, so, I have got the FPV bug in a bad kinda way. I was thinking 3d flying was for me but after reading the forum here for hours on end I think I would enjoy a quad with FPV much more. I like the looks and size of the DJI F450. I was thinking with the NAZA GPS as well. So that leads me to these questions.

What kinda of camera, tx, and rx shoud I go with? I was looking at the Fat Shark.
Who has the best price on these items? Quad and camera system.
Is there a better quad than the DJI F450?

Thanks ahead of time for the answers. I know they will be great.

Thanks
John

"Better" is a bad term, you'll never get agreement on what's best. What's common is the F450 for sure, it's easy to assemble and repair and the parts are readily available. I have had 2, and wouldn't really bother with something else in that size, it's just too damn easy.

DJI stuff is pretty price-fixed, the ARF kit and Naza+GPS are within a few dollars of each other everywhere unless a site is having a sale.

ClubHeli has done right by me several times, and they carry everything: http://clubheli.com/DJI_c_181.html

I've found ReadyMadeRC to have fair prices on FPV stuff: http://http://www.readymaderc.com

Someone w/more FPV experience can recommend TX/RX stuff, I use Spektrum but depending on the mood of the day that's the worst thing you can use, or just fine. Works fine for me.

Welcome to the coolest most addictive rc-related hobby

The key is to get in the air ASAP - worry about whats best later.

It doesnt really matter what controller you choose - as long as it works for YOU. Like you said, Naza seems to be the hot option right now. In terms of FPV gear, if I were you I'd just get as simple a setup as you can so you can at least get flying and upgrade as you go - you'll decide what you need after your first couple of flights. That way, you dont invest in tons of gear you never really needed, and you dont waste precious time agonising over whats best.

I did it like this:
1. Setup heli with Fatshark predator and flymentor - flew ~20 times FPV and loved it
2. Upgraded Camera (wider FOV), TX, antennas - flew ~20 more times
3. Added OSD, removed flymentor - flown about 10 times so far

As psylence519 said, ReadyMadeRC are good, but there are tons of other places to choose from - just google FPV store
