I run the 9T pinion on my 550+ and 4S packs. Gives me a headspeed of 1750 and the motor doesn't get very warm. Not too bad for sport flying, but I am going to try out the 10T after I put some carbon blades on it next week.
There's a nice pinion calculator here: http://www.swift-tuning.com/motors.php My motor efficiency appears to be a little less than 90% according to it. Yours might vary. Not sure about motor judders. My whole heli shakes a little on spool up, but nothing too bad. |
