I have just had a look at my Kosmic 160 the firmware on it is 3.00 and its number 69,so does this meen if i update this one i will brick it,do you guys think its safe to update or should i send it back to kontronic.

Brian must of lied,my mate Karl bought three of them and all three have to be sent off to kontronic,he also got them off Perth RC.

Kontronik responded very quickly and said its probably a loose washer inside and its non critical. I'm surprised such thing happens in their level of quality. Its already on the way to Germany. I would have got the Cool update as well but there is no way it will fit in the Goblin. Here is the answer I got about the software update...

"A serial Nr. Above 300 should have software version 3.0 so it is ok for the online update. If your unit has 2.6 you have to send it in for the update."

FYI
I had ver 3.0 on my kosmik 200 which I purchased late last year. It updated fine to 4.0.
