Default T-28 Trojan Roll

Guys,

I am wondering if the slow roll rate of my Parkzone T-28 Trojan is normal. It is more of a barrel role than anything. I always assumed it would roll without losing lots of altitude, so I am looking at what other other people have experienced.

I have moved the push-rod to the mid-point on the aileron control horn.

I haven't tried it myself yet, but I read somewhere that a combination of aileron and rudder makes the T-28 roll faster.

I have tried it on the sim and it works great. Have the aileron stick go right and rudder stick go left and visa versa to roll the other way..

Interesting. I remember it rolling much easier in the sim. I wonder if COG has much to do with it?

It's not a super aerobatic bird more of a gentle trainer. But i do believe the last hole on the control horn will give it the most travel. Good luck with a great flying bird

Given the proper throws and power, it will slow roll, and knife edge. Bone stock it's a little under powered though. I'm running an eflight 10 with a thunderbird 54 esc, eflight 3s 2200, stock servos. I'll check the linkage positions I'm flying tonight and let you know.

Also, it flies better with more weight.

Currently I am running everything stock, minus increasing the aileron throws to the middle hole on the control horn and 2200mah batteries.

I am sure a little down elevator during the roll will also help!
