What do you mean you can't get it to work right? You mean some of the channels are off, or you can't calibrate it properly, or the PC and Clearview have no idea that you have a transmitter connected to it?

What are you using now for a cable?

You're going to need something that plugs into your TH9X's trainer port on one end, and has a USB connector at the other end to plug into the PC, and makes the transmitter look like a game controller to the PC.

Perhaps something like this:

Default My experience with CV and DX7s

I'm not familiar with your type of Tx. I'm assuming it has CCPM mixing (Heli mode) as well as airplane mode like on Spektrum's DX6i, DX7, etc. Mind you that Clearview is both a heli AND airplane sim. I had troubles getting my DX7s to work correctly for helis until I changed the model to "Acro" (airplane mode) on the Tx. Clearview doesn't tell you that! Then I had to fiddle with the switch settings on the Tx, and then button settings in Clearview's controller set up menu for "Idle up" and "Throttle hold" to be on their respective places on the Tx. Works OK except when throttle hold is activated, it rapidly turns off and on, annoying if you're practicing auto rotations. I had to go back into the Tx menu and put that switch to Inh (Inhibit) and back to CV's controller set up and use keyboard F1 and F2 for Thr. hold.
A good part of sim training is developing muscle memory. In real life I cannot hit keybord F1 and F2 to shut her down in case of an imminent crash. I have and old Dave Brown Simstar controller that plugs into a computer's game port. My Win 7 machine does not have one. I read some where "game port" is no longer made. So I bought a Rockfire Game port to USB adapter. Works perfectly! I hope this Simstar will last me another 16 years...

Since I posted this I figured out the issue with Throttle Hold! Assign it to "Y rotation" not a button in Clearview! See my post in this forum!
