Agreed it is similar to align but the build and quality was noticeably different. I will say this though that notichiness I had was not the bolt attaching the main gear to shaft (more on that in a sec). Turns out it's coming from the tail case. I believe it's something with the bearings holding the tail shaft. If I loosen the side plates on the Tail it's smooth, just slightly loose, tighten them back down and the notchiness/binding comes back. Weird. In at work but maybe I have one of the plates on backwards I dunno I'll check when I get home.

Now about this bolt holding the main shaft to the gear. There was some play while turning the main head. I hadn't noticed and difference in flight but there was a good amount of play. Tight Ned the bolt as much as I could without breaking the main gear (which was not a lot) and the play is gone. Checked again yesterday after a few flights and the play is starting to come back.

Guys with the forza is this common?
Again it flies fine just a little weird having the play.

It sounds to me like the gear in the tail box is not pushed in all the way. Either that you have too many of the little shims in the tail shaft. I don't have any of the shims in there and it turns smooth and has no play. I did put one in on one of the forzas and it was too tight and will make it notchy. The directions say only put in what is needed. I didn't need any. As far as the bolt in the main gear I have no play in either one of them. One of the helis has a monster motor in it and nothing has given or loosened at all. The only play I have gotton is from the locking collar moving a little and after resetting it I have had not problems.

Thanks LaDon took the shims out and that solved it. Had an unpleasant day yesterday though. Had a bad autorotation and bailed out too late.

I had the exact same play on my new Forza 450EX after three maiden flights. Just tightened that bolt, and have to keep an eye on this. I feel like taking the bolt out, and check the tolerances again later.
