Has anyone bought from the Align online shop?
Do a search on Helipross. Plus they jacked the name from Heliproz, not someone i want to do business with.

Align Shop is Taiwan only.

Default 700E different V2's ?

Hi!

Just realized that ppl have different versions of 700E V2. Do we also have different kit no on our helis?

I have a KX018E12 ( marked V2 3GX on the box). Have most (all I know of) of the upgrades stock.

The KDE upgrade is a must have, I have it on my 550, 600, 700E and 700N, you can clearly notice the flight performance.

I ordered one of the new tail blade holders just for the color, it match my heli very nice

I did the V2 upgrade.
The grips are a bit thicker than the previous one but the bolts, that holds the tail blades, are the same lenght as before. Hence the Hex lock nuts will not work properly since the bolts are too short.

w12martin, Can you clarify what you mean? You have the newer grips that a few of us just ordered. I got that. The Hex lock nuts not working is what I am confused about. Are you saying that the newly released Align V2 grips (HN6103A) come with bolts for the tail blades that are too short? The upgraded tail comes with bolts for the tail blades as pictured below.

Yes, the bolts are too short. Simple to fix btw, but...that's not the point.

Well that sucks because I am expecting to get the tail by the weekend to start flying again. I assume you ordered longer bolts or did you do something else. Where did you order longer bolts from if that is what you did?

Well, since I'm still waiting for my ICE2 120HV, I didn't order the proper bolts yet. I think 3 or 4mm longer should be enough

Did you get the V2 tail from the ebay seller, somewhere else, or did it come with your heli kit?

UPDATE:
I found some that are 18mm that don't have threading all the way through that look like they will work fine. Can you measure to see if 18mm would work? Please?

I bought the V2 upgrade from a local shop in Japan.
I think you need at least 20mm bolts

Just wondering why Align haven't chosen to use a design with 'Chinese Weights' built into it? It's a pretty well proven theory so why wouldn't they use it? I know they did it on the TRex 250 (and perhaps others) so is there any reason not to have done it on a 90 size heli?

Good Question, Not sure why they would not.

w12martin, Thanks for that.

I think i found a winner below. On sale too . I just ordered a pair. Hopefully the lock nuts are a standard size that match the Align lock nuts.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...hanked-Bolts-2

UPDATE: Actually after I look at your picture I realize that 18mm would have probably been fine. The 20mm measurement is from the top of the bolt head to the bottom of the bolt. The 20mm bolt I ordered I am sure is the shank size (bottom of bolt head to bottom of bolt). That extra 2mm will just give me .01% of the chinese weight mod .

UPDATE2: Hmmm... Now I hope there is enough threading with 2mm of the threading sticking out past the locknut.

UPDATE3: I just added a small package of 3x18mm to my order so I should be set either way now. Thanks for letting us know the bolts are too short.
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...p-Head-Screw-4

I thought I remembered reading 2 years ago that chinese weights don't make as much of a difference with bigger tail grips (compared to 450 sized heli)... I am probably mistaken though.

I have the new tail as stock on my 700E v2.

The tailbolts reach thorugh almost all of the nyloc part of the nut. Not all way through, but I'd say 70%.
It locks so good that I cant turn the bolt with fingers only. Guess it wount come loos in flight.
I think, if you loosen the bolt a lot of times the nyloc would become worn and perhaps loose locking-force.

xStatiCa, sorry!! my mistake. I measured the bolts form the top of its head.
18mm should do the job

What tail blades can used with it? I guess 120 mm would touch the ground or long main blades, like 713mm
