Default 450 Pro Sensor Location? Pics of Build

I have a new build of a Trex 450 Pro and the Align 3G system. Everything works well except for Elevator Oscilation in FF Flight. Tried changing gain and it helps but does not eliminate the problem.

C.G . is pretty close, a little nose heavy

Question is who has a 450 Pro and does NOT have this issue, where is your sensor located and what tape did you use?
I mounted underneath, I thought closer to center of axis of heli would be good......

Config:
1800 maH 4S Turnigy Packs, at 209g
Scorpion 2221-10 3000 Kv with 11T
Jazz 40-6-18 at 72% Throttle Governed 3000 RPM
Sport BEC, JR 3500G, Cyclic 5065MG
Swash dead level, Perfect +12 -12 Collective, +9 -9 Cyclic Elev and Alieron
Gain on Aileron is 1 O clock, Elev is 9 O Clock

Observations: very stable hover, A LOT More Power, longer flight times, flies like a 500 now...Cannot touch my Vibe 500E but still nice..

The sensor is far from level for a start.

I would suggest fitting the sensor where your satellite receiver is & moving the satellite rx elsewhere.

Oh man, that seem like the worse spot to mount it, can you imagine what will happen to it in a crash? Align is currently does not sell the Sensor as a replacement part... So I would relocated it if I were you.

I had the same issue when doing hurricans. The heli would bobble. I had to drill holes further in on my servo arms. The inner hole on my align wasn't close enough. I'm running my sensor on the gyro mount with the stock align pad. I tried all kinds of pads, two pads, metal plate ect. My elevator gain is just about 0.

I would try putting a velcro strap around the sensor to hold it tightly - the 3G seems to like that. Also, worth considering hot gluing the connectors and the wire to the side frame, so the wire can't flap about in flight and jiggle the sensor !

I have a very slight porpoising in fast forward flight, but is hardly noticable, and fiddling with gains didn't help, I have ail gain at 12:00 elev at 10:30 and for my flying (sport flying and very light 3D) it flies great, noticably better than flybarred, so I'm very happy with it.

You can mount the sensor on the gyro plate with the short wire - not sure why Align didn't include the long and short sensor wires with the 450 kit - the long wire gives you more options, and I've used a long wire from a 700 kit on a 450 SE V2 to make a neater setup.

Pics of my layout are in https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=193101

I remounted the sensor to the antirotation bracket plate and used the stock tape with the align velcro wrapped around it. Had my elevator gain at 9 o' Clock and aileron gain at 1:00 o' clock.

Took it out for a test flight today. Some flips, loops, and still had some bobbling.

Not sure this is for me.

Had the brilliant idea to try a roll 20' off the deck. Big Mistake. as soon as it was inverted in the roll, it veered straight into the ground.

Not too bad, main gear, boom supports, one servo, blades, Flybar Linkage(which you can not buy yet as a part). Not sure about main shaft and spindle will check that.

Hmm.. have a mini vbar in my cart, as I am so ticked...
I have my elevator gain just about 0.

Anybody seen the longer cables for sale anywhere? I could really use the longer one to get mine mounted up top where it should be.

If anyone has a spare one I'd be happy to purchase it from you

I emailed align and the long sensor cable is not available separately. It only comes with the larger 3G Kits.

i just mounted mine up, and i used reference to the 3G manual.. its mounted rear the top behind the maingear. wires are held toegther in a bunch with that sprial loom tubing.. the sensor is on the gyro plate.

elevator bobble hooray!! im narrowing mine down to excessive HS, to light of blades, and sensor tape mounting/position.

the Align blades may just have to close of CG to the head.,

I don't have experience with the Edge Blades Flybarless but let me know how they work. a local pro tells me good blades work flybar or flybarless, marketing.....
