Pitch slider options
I have a v2 pitch slider and it is sloppy. I was wondering if anyone has successfully replaced it with a different brand. I would not be opposed to replacing the tail grips if it meant it was tighter. I have tail wag issues and I am trying to troubleshoot the whole assembly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've been really impressed with my velo 50 pitch slider, it is the tightest out of all of my birds. The only reason I would replace it with another brand is if I couldn't buy it anymore.
It's hard to diagnose issues over the Internet, but I would start with the mechanics, when you disconnect the rudder servo does the whole assembly move freely? It should be so smooth that when heli the heli is tipped tail down the weight of the push rod would cause the pitch slider to move.

I've got the v2 tail. I bought some pin screws and there is a bit of play. I have tried to fabricate a screw that fits tighter but slop remains.

Just so I understand, the slop created in your pitch slider is from the plastic links?

Where the pins slide in the groove is where I detect slop.

Are you referencing the two bolts that screw through the bellcrank and catch the groove in the pitch slider?

Yep. I bought a new slider and a pack of pin screws in August and they all seemed to have a little play in them.

Mine also has a small amount of play, my fusion 50 had a more play than my velocity but the tails held rock solid on both machines. However, you may have received a part that is out of tolerance.
