Default Spectrum Data logging not working??

As I never seem to have any lost fades..etc, I was wondering if it was logging them on my AR7000 at all.
All mine are firmware updated to the quick connect version. This version is suppose to also be able to log lost packets/fades...etz.
So on the bench, I turned off the TX in live mode...no lost anything...hmmmm
did a quick recording doing the same as above..same result.
Has anybody actually got this working???
By the way,,I enabled the function in the eagle tree v2 logger from the start.

Are you using their (or an identical) JR/Spektrum cable? Also, are you making sure to supply no more than 5.5v to the data logger? That's a big gotcha for me and might mean I can't log Spektrum data while monitoring my high voltage servos.
