Default Trex 550 Binding Issues

Hi Guys,
Quick question, i bought a Trex 550 off a friend, the Heli flew well at the inspection. He was running the 3GX setup with two sats and a Spektrum Transmitter. He took of the two Sats as I was going to run Futaba gear.

I got it home and fitted a Futaba R617FS Receiver to the 3GX system (all wiring is correct as per 3GX Disc instruction. I went to Power it up to Bind it with my new Futaba T14SG, there is power to the receive through the 3GX system but it wont bind. I got 3 of these receives new and none will bind so I must be doing something wrong here.

I took the receive off the 3GX system and Tried to get it to enter setup mode by holding down the Set Button and powering on the Heli...Still the 3GX wont even lite up let alone enter setup.

So if anyone has any ideas as to why it worked one minute and not the next let me know.

Cheers Dan

I only have used the speck sats - and the unit stays completely dead until it hears the TX signal.....

All my setup knowledge comes from whole set of setup videos - Ron's youtubes -

Try unplugging the 3gx, and binding the receiver. Then, if it binds, unplug your battery, connect the 3gx, and power up again. See if that works.

Not familiar with this set up, but, you dont have a fixed ID set do you?
I know on my Rx's, I had to clear the ID before it would bind, then I could redo the fixed ID...
