Tail servo Bls251 cause i'm know it works on all the rest of my heli's , but i'm open to new suggestions cyclics i'm not sure so please advises. Also coming from a long history of Align lol. Welcome to the Mikado family. I purchased my 480 as a combo so it came with the Savox servo's. I've been happy with them. I did have to replace the top part of the tail case after a crash....both mounting tabs broke off.

welcome to the addiction, all your other heli's wont feel the same after you fly the logo!

This heli is very gentle on servos and packs so you don't need the highest spec craziest servo ever. With that being said, on the high end of the spektrum the MKS's are excellent servos. The Savox's are low cost and seem to work well. But really any decent mini servo should work well.

Welcome. Your choices seem spot in so far.
I also run the 251 tail servo for the same reasons and I am using the kit savox cyclics.

Stock kit pinion (don't remember what size) and 3700 Glaciers. I fly big air and starting to do some tricks. My Glaciers have started to puff a little. In fact I'm not sure how long till they wont fit between the frames.

Any of those 3700mah batteries will work. I run the Pulse 3700 45c's and have had no issues, and great power. I wouldn't use anything bigger than 3700 though. Overall feel is great with 3700's, and I get good flight times (4 minutes at high head speed doing 3d). Both the 21 and 20 tooth pinions would work fine. I am running the Savox servos which come with the Mikado combo, and have no complaints.

Good luck, you will love your Mikado!

Thank you I Fly Helis! What head speed do you use and are you using the Gov. also what should i expect to look for in the build? I have heard about the tail is there anything else to watch out for... is making a battery tray useful ?

Also thank you all for the feed back!!!

Just FYI I too was or am on that edge of calling it quits started this hobby in 2007

Make sure your tail is smooth as butter. Sweet rpm range is 2200 - 2300 (governed). Some guys prefer higher rpms, but you'll need to change your stock motor/pinion/gear configuration. I love my 480 with MKS servos.

Sorry to hear about thoughts of leaving the hobby. It's a shame you didn't try a Logo sooner. I think once you fly yours, you will say to yourself (glad I didn't pull the plug before giving Mikado a try).

The only issue you'll have once you fly the 480 is that you'll want a 550 or 600.

Welcome to Mikado!

Mikado (and others) will always be coming out with new stuff. Its just a matter of how long it takes to get from R&D to the streets. The nice thing about Mikado release dates is they are for real compared to others that keep pushing it out. Which really means they were never ready in the first place.

With the Vbar NEO coming out its not a shock to see people dumping their current Vbar to fund the new one. If that's really the case, ya never know. I thought about selling some of mine as well. With being able to use a current Vbar for a plane (in the near future) to me it makes sense to keep them.
