Default ESC programming

Hi guys,
I just got a programme card and new motor for my 500. Am I on the right track with these settings?

Timing on auto
Brake off
Set to lipo
Cut off voltage at 2.7 / 3.4 (what do the two numbers represent?)
Cells at 6
Freewheel on & Gov
P gain at 0.9
I gain at 0.05
PWM frequency at 9kHz
Startup power at 4%

This is with the MSH Scorpion motor and a YGE-80. I've no clue about the gains or PWM frequency and can only assume that auto timing will do the trick
All feedback is much appreciated, cheers, B

Well just back from a test flight and partially answered my own question... This setup isn't right

Total lack of power and it comes back from a hover and few pitch pumps with voltage warning beeping away on a almost full pack (tried twice in case it was the pack). It's flown well before changing the motor and startup power from auto to 4% to get rid of a tail spin on initial spool up. Any ideas?

This is what the manual suggests ..

Here a listing of the default settings.
- Timing 18°
- Brake off
- under voltage recognition adjusted to Lipo mode 3.1 V
- automatically cell count
- throttle curve 1.15...1.95ms
- Act. Freew. on
- Governor Mode on
- P-Gain 0.7
- I-Gain 0.03
- Startup Speed = Heli middle
- PWM-Frequency 9 kHz
- Startup Power = Auto 1-32%

They're what I use

MikeJ just gave you all the settings in post above,
Did you properly set TH position and set up gov correct?
I run Gov store and it is great, MrMel has link to set up (yge) gov store, if gov not set right you will def have lack of power.
Normally , I set up heli with gov off, and flat curve for 1 or 2 flights before I enable gov.
1 less thing to be concerned with for initial set up

A quick update. The settings I had were more or less the same as from the 80A ESC manual, when I tried the settings for the 60A ESC, as above, my beeping is back to normal. Yay a win.

But still no power to speak of

Still, you've given me some real good pointers and I'll check out the governor mode set up properly. Thank you very much

If you have the program card, I strongly suggest you use the governor store mode. For me it's what makes the ESC stand out.
Programming the store mode can be tricky.
I only managed to program mine without errors if I calibrate the throttle again at the end.

A quick update guys. I tried all of the above and putting it in gov store has worked a treat. Mr.Mel's video was spot in and the YEP prog card works a treat.
Thank you.
