Default what throttle servo 600n dfc

Instruction manual calls for throttle servo. Can anyone tell me what servo that would be for an align 600n dfc?

This is for the super combo kit that comes with everything but the throttle servo.

Anything about as quick as a cyclic servo will be fine. Check the governor paperwork as well to see if there are any restrictions

OK thanks. The picture looks like a tail servo. I'm guessing it wouldn't matter...?

.1 sec per 60 deg and 3 kg torque

DS615 would be a cyclic and seems to meet those specs.

The older manuals show 4 cyclic servos & 1 tail servo. You can use anything that can keep up with a governor without over correcting. You probably could use a tail servo but why bother (unless you had one lying around)

I have used the Align DS610 Cyclic, the DS650 (tail rotor) and the DS520 (mini TR) on Raptor 90, Trex 600n and 700N helis (at different times).
I am currently using a DS610 on the Trex 700N and a DS650 on the 600N - because that is what I had laying around at the time.

They all work fine for throttle.

G-Force makes a cool "micro servo to standard" servo mount. It allows you to mount a micro servo into a standard opening.
Then you can use the smaller, cheaper cyclic servos meant for the 400 / 450 helis as your throttle servo.

I've never used a micro servo for the throttle, but it should work
G-Forces suggests the HS-65MG:
http://www.servodatabase.com/servo/hitec/hs-65mg
It is a $35 servo + $16 for the G-Force mount. Still, lower than the cost of the DS610 and lighter.

There is not a lot or torque required.
But, the speed of the servo is great for a system that has a gov.

If you are NOT using a gov, but are using throttle curves instead, than any cheap, slow, non-digital servo is fine.

Use a throttle return spring just in case (I use springs from Ace Hardware).

I appreciate that information and insight. It seems pretty simple once explained.
