.....Awesome Job HeliGriff! .....

That has to be one of the cleanest sharpest looking helis I have ever seen.
Although it kinda looks familiar...You have raised the bar my friend...

Thanks Don! I stole every idea you had and added a couple of my own!

She is clean. No zip-ties, No wires exposed. Everything made to fit. I appreciate your help through this entire build. .

Yowza! That is indeed very clean. The work that you put into it clearly shows.

Great job!

Default batteries?

Heli?

may i ask why two batteries in the front and i noticed you had TM1000 on the bottom
aluminum plate where main battery goes, how did you make space and still
fit two 6S's in there?

thank you, she looks GREAT!

Thank you for the nice comment! There are actually three yellow batteries on the nose. Left and right batteries are for the RX/FBL unit. It is a redundant safety measure in the event one battery fails. Two batteries will also double the mAh's for longer periods between re-charges. The third battery on top-middle powers the Telemetry system. As far as space, there is plenty of room for the main batteries, with battery wires running under them, and the telemetry unit below all of that. The Trekker has a lot of room in the basement! The three batteries are connected to on/off switches. This way, after all three batteries are plugged-in, they remain plugged-in until they need recharged.

Thanks, FNFAL! She not nearly as tricked-out as your 550 though! Hope to see you this summer!

Nah.. I was just trying to catch up to you! You're the Master!

Whoops! I didn't think about the giving away secrets of the mysterious Coded Hex-Bolt Society. Not to worry, I doubt most guys are going to spend 3 months wiring their heli, even if they do like ours. It is a lot of work!

Later this year, I'm going to completely re-wire my 600EFL. I'll share the project with you. I have some tricks up my sleeve for that one. I've already made one modification that I can't keep a secret. I lowered the heli all the way around to match the ground clearance of the Trekker. Looks sweet!

Stay tuned Amigo!

Thoroughly love the boom cover. I miss these days of friendly competition and learning from each other. Ill have some secrets to show you guys when I get mine back. I have some nice translucent candy purple powder coating to be done, i may even polish the head assembly. I love making aluminum shine.

From a pile of rubber dampers I had made awhile ago I found out they work great for keeping vibes away on small parts like a ESC. The ESC screws onto the dampeners. Next Ill take a couple silicone stoppers to cover the threads up, for a nice clean look.

The way its mounted now gives the most amount of exposed metal for cooling and leave's a nice area under to hide wires. Its just one of 8 ways it can be mounted to suit your build style or needs.

Update..

I've been flying my Trekker for about four months now. I put all the upgrades into it when I built it. No part failures, no crashes, nothing worn, no problems what so ever. I love this heli! The Trekker has become my "go to" heli.
