Soft crash again.. Was re maiden the Chronos after my past week crash and suddenly, while backward inverted, she lost power completely, meaning motor off. I managed to get her right side up, switch hold and land. Skids and one servo gear stripped... not much but sucks big time.I checked the CC log and all is normal no drop on voltage or whatsoever. So still have to find the issue of the shut off. I was just 1'40" into the flight, no loose wire.Had total control on the cyclic,so rx was good as at first I thought fails safe kitched in..
Have a chance to re maiden this week, but 6 days to go to the 3DX Asia Pacific and no time left for much practice...

I saw the Chronos with a 3 blade head today, running 666mm X Blades, OMG that thing was ferocious, and fast, made this speed heli noise, it was insane

A single flight today after about 2 months, just to keep it free from dust and rust.

I really can't afford to crash this bird! I'm currently without income, and changes in the exchange rate made it very expensive to buy kits and parts from overseas. The hobby is slowly but steadily fading in Brazil.

We have a similar situation here as well.. due to the exchange rate.. The heli scene is almost gone in Malaysia... Or people are just flying safe with small models to avoid expensive crashes...

Been flying my 7HV since August 2015 and been growing to love it more and more. I like all the helis in my sig, and to me the 7HV flies light compared to the G630, similar to how the X5 flies light compared to the G500. All are enjoyable to me, but I guess I like the 7HV for its gentleness and good visibility due to that huge canopy. Anyway, just keeping the thread alive, lol. Here is a pic of my plain jane stock look. I want a new canopy but have not found one I like for a decent price. Oh, I fly just sport big sky, no 3D.

Got my 3-blade head behaving a little bit more politely. Sorted blade tracking and lock-tited everything I should.
I am flying between 850 and 1000 rpm head-speed here. The 3-blade head is looking very well behaved.
I need to get out to the club to fly it properly, this weekend.

MRCHC is quite a way for me.
Last time I came down there I got a bit confused by your various flight stations.

Sunday it flew... Did my first ever purposeful autorotation for fun in real life with it. I think they will become part of my everyday routine now.

Today I made a realflight scheme to match my favorite canopy.

Just a link to my first 3-blade flight at GMAC. The video quality is not very good though, sorry. A bit small, etc. There is quite a bit of wind noise, and video resolution is pretty low as I had previously used the GoPro for a school homework video, and forgotten to change it back:
Compass 7HVU 3-Blade - First Flight (9 min 19 sec)

That video was from Sunday last, and I have since modified a Goblin 3-blade tail, which I will fly, hopefully, later today (Tuesday).
The Goblin 3-blade tail modification is interesting in its own right. I'll start a thread in due course.
Regards,
Andy
