Default Simulator on console?

If these big names like Phoenix, realflight etc don't make these simulators for consoles they should.

PS3 and Xbox 360 both have USB ports.

More people would buy their simulators.

It can be played on your big tv, without needing to plug your computer into your tv.

No need to worry about computer specs.

I can't think of a down side. Please tell me what I am missing?

Alex, I want to buy a Phoenix sim oof ya. I'll skip ebay to save some costs? How much shall I send you through paypal? Include the postage price.

Cheers, Jonny

Xbox arcade does have a simple RC simulator but unfortunately it has only planes. Still fun though. If Phoenix or ClearView put their product out on a console I would definitely buy it.

Sounds good Jonny. give them a call and ask them why they havent done it. Might be because there isnt a very large demand for flight sims. Also the console would have to be able to run the TX for the sim.

They have brought it out on PC why not Console. I would buy it for console because I would want to use it on my TV. The only other way for my is to plug my PC into the TV.

I bet the PS3 would work, don't know about the Xbox though.

The PS3 will accept the TX just fine, especially providing they make the software IE the simulator to work with it.

The Xbox is proprietary to the hills, so I can see it being somewhat complicated.

The Xbox is the one thats most likely to work with minimal alterations to the software!

Remember an Xbox is effectivly a windows based PC, just tailored to gaming.

Not really because Xbox sucks and PS3 rules

The PS3 can have linux on it. I bet I could install Windows on it if I really wanted to.

At the end of the day they are both computers. They both have motherboards, RAM, graphics card and Processors etc.

How ever you know these days they do something to the PS3 so you can't mess around with it.

There was an old heli sim for PS2 I think. I can't recall the name, and you used the dual joysticks on the dualshock controller.

Not the case Jonny, both Xbox and PS3 run off the same CPU architecture, Power PC, which is a whole new instruction set different from what Windows is designed for.

It would work under serious emulation which will be a performance robber.

Only PPC compatible OS's will work on a PS3 or Xbox.

The old Mac computers before they went Intel used the old IBM Power-PC chips, now their modified heavily for the Xbox 360 (not so much modified actually) and the PS3 Core CPU is based off the Power-PC just HEAVILY modified and reinvented.
