Help with original tight placement for ESC and the wires also.

ok, i have the Gens Ace 1200 and OptiPower 1400 -- I haven't flown mine in a while, so can't remember.

As far as ESC, I've got the HobbyWing 50 V3 (on both of my X3's).

For motors, I have the Scorpion 2820-1800 and Align 460MX motors, but was thinking of getting the XNova XTS 2618-1860 kV. Wonder if this frame would make placement of the motor easier as well as various wire routing.

What about the Lynx X3 main blade grips? Bling or fixes a problem with the Gaui CNC blade grips?

He's also managed to clock up a 16 minute flight time at 2500rpm with just gentle flying, pretty insane battery he has on there now!!

Adding the new frame to mine also. Love how all the things I hated about the original frame have been addressed on this new Lynx frame.

More room for wiring. Setting gear mess is WAY easier to do and get to the motor bolts. Battery isn't as confined. I'm just running Pulse 2250mah 3S but the leads were they go into lipo always rubbed on frame.

Just got mine done and was wondering what's the largest 6s battery that can run on this frame? I tried the pulse 1800 that my goblin uses and it's a little too big.

Any pictures of the frames with different size batteries installed using the stock battery tray system? I was thinking about buying a set of these frames but I want to make sure it's worth it first.

The NEW Lynx X3 frame uses the stock battery tray but it mounts upside down and the lipo sits on top the frame for much more lipo size room.

yes, but are there pictures of batteries actually mounted on the frame? I'm curious to see how 1350-1800 size packs would fit, especially under the canopy.

I wish I still had mine. I'd take one for you but I paid it forward and gave my X3 to another pilot.

I can take a couple pics tomorrow of mine. I have several size packs with various dimensions and all fit under the hood and CG great

No idea, but this was in design and testing way before the 360CFX came out.

This post was just made now as a answer to a Q? The Lynx NEW style X-3 frame has been around a while now.

Yes the frame has been out for a while but the idea was drawn up a year ago and the 360 was debut publicly in March. The design team for the 360 has mostly been a concept since July of 2014. I hate to draw lawyer stuff into it bc lynx is an awesome company.

They're all copies of one design or another. They haven't come out with anything truly "new" since lipos and 3-axis gyros. Frame design is starting to have very little to do with the way they fly. It's just a platform for holding the electronics.

I still think the battery tray is one of the best things about the X3. I think it probably should've had the battery on top from the get-go because battery size apparently wasn't something they thought they'd have an issue with. But everyone was switching over to the tray systems and the top-mount might've changed the overall look and feel of the X3 do is an acceptable aftermarket upgrade to switch the frames. Just too bad you can't choose to get it in the stock kit that way.

maybe its me but I still don't see how anybody is fitting a pulse 1800 6s lipo under the stock canopy..my 1350 don't fit why didn't lynx make a little larger canopy that goes with the stretch and frame kit I just bought? plus the carbon boom just doesn't get tight when you tighten the frame screws to the boom clamp..maybe theres a secret, maybe its me..

That's weird, but the pin screw would hold it in. I don't have one so maybe someone else can chime in. You could always thicken the boom with a couple layers of tape if it slides freely.

the pin screw is in..but before I put it in, and after I tightened the frame screws the boom was still kinda loose and can spin when you grab it and turn..it doesn't move with the pin in but I thought it was odd.
