Metal fatigue from vibration or just a faulty clutch bell.

Is it possible that the fan hub backed off a little and allowed the clutch to rub on the inside of the bell?

Doesn't appear to have any rubbing marks or anything of that nature. But who knows. This is a first for me, never even heard of this happening before. Prolly just a defect. I got a new one coming.

Actually came off a Nx4, but from what I've read about its clutch issues that's not hard to believe.

It looks, by the regularity, like it was machined too thin, and then all it takes is a little vibe, wa-la.
