Hi guys, I actually own one of these (carbon edition RTF) for about 5 month,
it's not bad, but: ... (my first CCPM by the way)

The body and CNC parts are ok, the fiber canopy too, but electronics are really crap:
-the radio always do unwanted fast moves and its a pain to setup with PC,
it's the same flysky as CopterX RTFs. (changed for DX7...)
-the servos are really fragile, 3 ccpm broke in crashes (twice ..)
-the gyro do his job but do sometimes some small quick drifts
and is not efficient enough for 3D (wait a GP750...)
-more torque from the motor would be much appreciated
-only the ESC 40A doesnt seems to be bad

Else its a good looking heli and most parts are compatible with trex 450,
the servo mount is a bit strange, but works fine.

My conclusion would be that if you want RTF go for a CopterX, I hope it has better electronics,
or else the barebone should be a good deal, if only it has not broken or bent parts due to assembly,
hopefully the guy on helipal is very comprehensive...

In my opinion... ALL RTF helicopters are garbage when your talking 450's or any size helicopter I think that is Esky or an Align Clone.. The electronics suck jaw breaker balls.

Very rare any of them have any decent quality electronics.

That's why I just tell people buy a nice barebone kit, and pick your own electronics that are proven to be good.

But thanks for the informative review! No doubt someone googled that heli, came across this and had second thoughts about it's RTF version after reading that.

Default Storm 450 3G

I have several of these as well as a couple of barebones for parts. I am running mks ds92A+ digitals on the cyclics and a sm-3481m rudder. using the rx2702V 3 axis gyro. No problems form the bird at all. Hovers smooth and is quicker than my reactions for right now. RCX 3800kv outrunner and hobbywing pltnium pro 40 amp esc. The barebones, A complete helicopter minus all electronics is $99 so I bought 2 of them so I have plenty of parts. Lots of parts interchangable with the trex and clones bar a few odd and ends here and there. I actually like the servo mounts as you dont have to take the fram apart to get to them. The glass canopy is nice but I use the bleach bottle trex plastic canopies for now as I am just a sport flier and this storm reacts really quick...DUMB THUMBS!
But all in all it is a decent bird

Gosh it's an old thread... Before Alex got wiped out of existence by his doomed heli business venture and when Mike not only was being a passionate heli PITA, but he was doing it under his first incarnation...

Cheers to all lost souls out there !!!
