Wobble Wobble Wobble
So I've been flying a camera on a 700 for a full year. I usually have two headspeeds setup on my CC ESC on an Align 700 F3C model with Flybar. The lower headspeed is 1420, and the upper is 1550. For some reason I'm getting a left/right shudder/wobble that appears to be a ~10hz oscillation. At first it was on the higher headspeed and nothing at 1420. I decided to swap to my RJX FBL head, yet with the same blades. Now the low rpm seems to have the problem and the higher doesn't. The blades are a common factor, but nothing has really changed. I've done the same thing as I have all year.
The shaft is solid as a rock and I did a bolt check on everything. Anyone else experienced this? |

I'm running the red soft ones on the flybar head. Then I tried my rjx head and it wobbled about the same rpms.
They are also brand new red dampeners. Maybe I need to add some grease to the thrust bearings. It's just funny that two heads would do the same thing. |

Did you grease the dampers with silicone grease?
That can really help with nodding, which sounds like what you are experiencing.

There is about 20 flights since I've greased all that. I grease everything up including the dampers. It's wild that both my FBL and non FBL head do the exact same thing.
Worn servos? There is some play but no more than before. |

I just want to say I appreciate your thoughts. When people shoot out ideas it may not always be "THE" answer, but it gets my brain matter going.
I've been running 1420 headspeed forever. The other day it was rather windy and bumped to 1600. Who knows how long its been, but I have definitely done 1600 before about a month or two ago and it was fine. I changed the main shaft last night, and I'm also using a 3rd bearing. The shaft and the frame are super solid. The oscillation is left to right. I can actually see a blur of the main shaft top section going left to right, and the bottom of the frame going left to right. Its like the whole thing is pivoting near the swashplate. It looks very scary. The common denominator is the blades. I've used two different shafts, with two different heads. I don't think its anything in the frame. |
