17t pinion headspeeds

So I am currently running the 16t pinion on the stock motor and it flies great. My edge lite 50 is set to 3050 idle up 3. Would like a little more headspeed and thinking the 17t would get me to 3300ish. Getting 4:40-5:00 minutes on gforce 40c still breaking in and don't want to go to crazy and sacrifice run time much. Any thoughts on this and does anyone have a 17t they want to sell me?

You get nothing for nothing, if you want more headspeed it will cost you flight time. I run a yge with the 16t pinion and have a flight mode that runs 100% so no Gove, for when I want that extra bit. But to be honest I fly my lower headspeeds way more often.

The yge Gove is a little less conservative so it will run 3300/3400 without to many issues getting 4 minutes flight time. My low headspeed is 3000 and flat out is around 3600 but it won't hold ththat for to long.

You can adjust the castle esc to alow more headspeed.

Completely understood WAXMAN thanks for the info. I should have noted in the first post that I'm running set rpm gov mode. Maybe I should experiment with gov high mode and run my curve up till the gov starts to noticeabley fall off and see what that gets me to. 3050 is the highest set rpm that I can go and I have to set battery voltage to 3.75 per cell to get that speed. I will try gov high mode and see how well it performs first.
