I'm using one pad for my 600N and it's working good. I think it's funny that they updated the manual but it's still hard to understand. Good thing we have Helifreak to translate. lol

Can I at least use the high speed my dx8 is capable of or do I have to tone that down too?

The revised manual states to "Allways use booth pads!" I'm sure they mean to always use both pads. This is just like "hoover" instead of hover; but whatever, the manual still sucks! Now the manual has bad "Chinglish" instead technical errors like the vibration filter values being backward. Why can't these Asian companies hire an English speaking person with some RC technical knowledge to translate their manuals. It looks like Thunder Tiger/Ace did on the first version of the manual then cheaped out on the revision.

The G-T5 does not work well on nitro with one pad. I tried it on my 700N with two different engines and adjusted every setting in the device. It just wouldn't stop having nervous ticks (uncommanded rolls right up to 90° and tail shakes) with a single pad.

I kept thinking it was just a poorly tuned or running engine. Nah, what I thought was poor engine tune was actually the G-T5 random tail shake issue making it appear like a rich running engine. This was proved by first using the Futaba CGY750 on the same model and then Zeal tape with the G-T5.

The G-T5 works very well if it doesn't get blinded by vibration. Even tiny amounts seem to mess up the sensors/MPU. My advice is to use both tapes as the revised manual instructs (in bold) even with electric models. Even if your model does not appear to be affected, it is likely not giving you its full potential with one piece of tape. But hey, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

I fixed it just for you Beji. I don't use a spell check program, so occasionally I will have a misspelling/typo.

Yeah, I was going to point that out, but since he did catch my typo and he is from France (I assume French is his native language) I cut him some slack.

Ok guys, got the Kasama flying nice and fast compared to the Mbeast, as stated before I'm tweaking one bit at a time. Started on the tail & got that feeling nice but not absolutely spot on yet. Still getting a slight gittering sound & I know it has nothing to do with the heli's mechanics as I had a Sk720 (borrowed) on it flying great & I had a Mbeast (didnt like the slow cyclics though ) also flying great & smooth. Anyway the tail was a lot worse before & now the gittering is not that bad so I moved on to cyclics.
Everything there is nice, rolls, flips & how they stop are great. I however notice that if the heli is tail in & I do a forward flip as soon as the tail is pointing up it moves to the right. I did adjust DMA pitch & cyclic & managed to get the tail swinging on pitch pumps almost gone.
I'm now wondering if you guys have any tweaks I might try to get rid of the tail gitter sound & the tail swing on flips (yes it swings right on back flips too).

Have you DMA in correct direction? If yes, the try to set D-Sense on tail to 0. I haved similar problem on my TDR (not very locked tail, kicking from to side and fast wag on hard flips, unclear stops) and tail D-Sense 0 solved that. With tail D-Sense 0 i am able to raise tail P/I from 66/60 up to 99/90. With D-Sense 0 my tail is locked and stops are very crisp. I contacted TT and they confirmed that tail D-Sense on 0 is perfect, i dont know why default value is 22 ... If it will not help increase D-Sense on tail in 5 point steps and report.

Ok thanks, I'll try that and report back, oh with you trying those settings on your TDR did that make the tail hold perfectly on hard pitch pumps?

thats good to hear what TT have said about D-sense , as some of you know i have also been working on low D-sense , that allows for the much higher P/I and a far better tail , excellent , thanks for asking them

With correct settings and correct DMA pitch value tail hold perfect on collective pumping.

Your thread has led me to experiments with low D-Sense values .

Well I guess I'm not ready to post my settings yet. The 500 behaves very good but today I found consecutive fast forward flips (not a maneuver I do a lot anyway) makes the heli bank to the right (right aileron). After 4 flips the heli shows around 30° right aileron.
- The sensor alignment is perfect (installed with a guide and triple checked)
- no mix in the radio
- I'm sure I'm not inputting aileron in the flip.

DO you guys know what I should look at?

PI for cyclic is 90/80. Tried different settings for I limit without any effect.

Should I check sensor calibration?
Any hint would help
