Dragonsky brushless upgrade problem
Hi,
I just bought the Dragonsky Brushless main motor upgrade kit. On Youtube there is a good video how to connect this system. I connect everything as in the video instruction. But when I put on the system the tailmotor runs in full trottel all the time. You cant stop it with the transmitter. You must unplugg the LiPo again. I tried to reverse the rudder in the transmitter, but there is no different. My transmitter is the Devo 7. When I switch over to the old brushed system the heli is working fine again. Must I upgrade the receiver to get this system working? Mikael Sweden |

I connected the signal wire between ESCs wrong the first time, black on white... cant remember what happend but it was something that made me check the wiring and found out that I reversed the connection. It might have been a spinning tail, I think I would remember if main started when I connected the battery...

I did reverse the signal wire between tail and main ESC on mine to see what happened, you have most likely made the same mistake as I did...
When I apply power the tail kicks at max RPM (no throttle and main is not moving)... Just put the kit back on and make sure you have white on white when you connect the two together and you should be set! Hope this helps! If you get it running I suggest you start with 65 throttle flat and 54% pitch and work your way up to a setting you like that holds the tail ok. Thats my idle1 setting and its ok for mild 3D, dont have to be too worried about loosing the tail...

You are probably right, it sounds like its the esc, but maybe you shold try to connect them black on white instead, it might be a human error so the only the wires are soldered on reversed, cant hurt trying. It is exactly the same symptoms as I got when mine was reversed... I did my third crash yesterday, the tail motor failed on me inverted. Luckily I was hovering stationary at that moment so it just started to do inverted piros, i just hit th and let it fall to the ground. Only minor damage but now I'm fed up with this, second crash due to mechanical failure
