Default Charging case power wiring

I got a cheapie case from harbor freight and also got a pair of the HP dps 600's for a power supply. I've modified the power supplies and got them working, but I was looking for a clean way to get the AC power into them.

I've seen photo's where people have a flange mounted connector going into the side of the case that's the same as the power supply input connectors...anyone know a good source for something like that?

Also I would like 1 cord, do you guys typically make a splitter yourself or is there a small Y cable that will fit inside a small case?

My case isn't very elaborate, but I would like for it to be functional and best of all cheap!

So far other than the cost of the charger itself, I'm into it about $65. 30 for the case, 25 for the power supplies, and another 10 for misc stuff to hook it all up.

Good luck. Post pics of the final product - doesn't have to be fancy, functional is always good enough!

anyone ever use anything like this http://www.sourcingmap.com/black-gre...FeRlOgodqGwAGQ

I was just going to use a toggle switch on the pins to switch these 2 server power supplies on, but the fans turn on as soon as ac power is applied. this looks awesome, but is only rated for 10A. Actually it looks like the C14 connector in general is only rated for 10A. anyone know what 2 HP DPS600's pull from the AC line during normal use?

Its about 11 to 12 amps delivering 1108 watts and 46 amps to the charger.

awesome thanks. It looks like the UL listing for one of those plugs is 15A and another standard puts it at 10A. I figure my setup is overkill for the charging that I will be doing, so i doubt I'll ever get over 10A anyway. I ordered one with the rocker switch built into it from ebay and a 14 awg power cable from monoprice.

The problem is typically the IEC power cable. Many are rated for only 10 amps, some are rated for 8 amps. That's one of the reasons I went to regular socket and standard large gauge extension cord.

Not as much of an issue with a single channel charger. But when you start running 2000 watts, you find the limits of everything in the power path pretty quickly.

yeah, I was reading that a lot of the cables are 18awg. I got a 14awg one which is plenty big. I have a 308 duo but I won't be pushing it for a while with my batteries.

I assume it will be fine, but I may convert it to a plug like yours if it causes issues.

as promised...simple simple. I will more than likely get some kind of container to keep some of the less commonly used cables and such and make a place for the container in the pick and pluck foam.

Not sure exactly what I have in this, but the hf case was $30, the power supplies were $25 for both, about $5 for the receptacle/switch, and roughly $10 worth of power cables from monoprice.
