Unregistered device

Hi There.

Can anybody tell me what it means when a receiver comes up on the tx as an unregistered device? And how do you get it to be a registered device?

What does it look like in the device explorer?

If it doesn't identify it as a receiver reflash the receiver
I have had this two times

The receiver was identified as 42549:21793, not as a specific receiver should it say for example r6g ex in the device explorer?

That reference (number:number) looks as if you have a previously registered Rx (that number pair) now being associated with a different model.

If you came from a Spektrum/JR background, than "Model Match" is the closest thing to what I think is happening; i.e., wrong Rx for that particular model UNLESS you are deliberately reusing a previously bound Rx for this specific model; then, just accept it.

When that has happened to me, I couldn't use the device explorer on it,


reflashed the RX and it was fine

You'll need the USB dongle though.

Nope.

When you use a RX with a different model, it just asks you if it's ok to use it. It still shows up in device explorer with a RX type, not the reference number

I have has the reference number in the device explorer on several new receivers. In all cases reflashing fixed it
