Hi Trexwilly, what servo models are you referring to here?

Thanks!

I'm looking to get a Mini Protos 450 6S, what tail servo "model" would I go with for each of the following sets?

1. Hitec HS-5065MG (for cyclics)

2. TGY-306G-HV (for cyclics)

Also, when looking at the servo case for the above, the Hitec's look like plastic whereas the TGY's look to be alloy's. Does that matter?

Thanks!!

You can get the TGY306G for 18ish a piece, 72 buck for four servos

Thanks for the reply! So the same model would be good for both cyclic and tail I guess? If so, that's awesome!

Any chance you could also recommend a "full set" for the Protos 500? Maybe a entry/middle, I think I already know the high end would be MKS DS9660A+ (cyclics) & MKS DS760 (tail)

Thanks!

I had JR DS3517MGs on my T500, I guess they would be good, there is a HV version now...

The BKs are super fast and lots of toruqe, there are KST DS515HVs too

Umm...he meant Mini Protons, not Protos 500.

I have a set of KST's I'm getting ready to drop in my 450. They seem very well built and there's no way in the world they could be as horribly sloppy as my Align servos! I've run the Hitec servos in the past and they've always been solid performers (plus they carry a reaaly good warranty) so my vote goes to them. The price of the TGY's is certainly attractive though.

Oh, gotcha. I saw the first question asking about the Mini Protos, not the second one.
