Astroid designs Mcpx BL tail blur Piroing uncontrollably
I have a Mcpx BL version that the tail portion of the board died. So it now has a BL tail from astroid designs with with the esc for it.
Anyways it takes off fine but shortly into the flight it starts to blur piro uncontrollably and even hitting throttle hold does nothing. It's pre flashed and I haven't adjusted anything. I'm new to this too. Any ideas off the top of your head?

Just a thought but is your tail prop spinning the proper direction and is it tight on the tail motor shaft? Hold the bell of the tail motor and see if you can spin the prop with your finger. Prop wash should moving to the right looking from the back of the heli. It looks like it's installed correctly.

Still doesn't explain the loss of control though does it? I hit throttle hold and it continues to blur piro, people clap and think I'm Tareq but honestly it's flying on its own. Once it hits the ground I unplug the battery to make it stop.

I had a similar problem.
Turned out to be a bad solder joint between the motor and the wires that run along the boom. Once the wire came loose the esc would turn off, causing the spin. Heat shrink on the wires held the joint in contact pretty well so the fault was intermittent. Are you spinning right or left? |

It turned out to be a bad man board. I swapped it out for another one I had and it's working perfectly now.
