Default G4.1 & E720 being discontinued?

Tower Hobbies shows both flybarless versions of these two helis as being discontinued? Is Tower Hobbies dropping the line or is TT truly discontinuing these models?

Default Thunder Tiger Removes G4.1

We just got the official word that TT is planning on discontinuing the G4.1.

This has been the best heli that I have owned, both in low maintenance and flying characteristics. My original G4 has 642 tanks through it and is going strong. It is also one of the few heli's that the aggressive pro's aren't able to break in a stock configuration.

The G4.1 has only been out for approximately six months and has been out of stock due to demand. What is TT thinking?

It seems as though TT should revise their marketing strategies rather than remove a quality item from their product line. They have one of the top pilots in the world and a great heli and cannot successfully market their product?

I hope that parts remain available for the G4/G4.1.

bobc2,

Agree with all your points. Plus, why bring on a pilot as good as Nick Maxwell to design and fly helicopters for you?!

I thought the G4.1 was a hit since you could not find them in stock. So much for a second 4.1, there are none available anywhere.

This is the email response that I received from TT. If anyone knows what it means, please let me know.

Dear Sir

we will develop the upgraded relative helis in the future, that's why the G4.1 is discontinued.
Although we're not going produce the G4.1, the easy broken parts will still remain available. If you need the parts, just tell us the part no., we can bill you by paypall.

Thank you

Looks like Tower may be restocking the G4.1.

Do you guys take this to mean TT will be back with seriously ass-kicking nitros again? My recollection was that Nick joined as the G4 was released, so not soon enough to have a hand in the design phase. Maybe this will happen next....
