Default SJM IS DEAD!!

O the other forum Scott at RC-TEK just announced ther will be no further ventures with SJM so we now have collector items GREAT!
He says parts are in limited supply and once gone they are done.
Sad is all I can say.

QUOTE:
I apologize for not being active on these forums lately. I was overseas trying to work out the SJM factory situation. I am sad to report that it looks like the SJM venture is dead. It would simply cost too much for us to pick up where others failed and attempt to rebuild the brand. We will do our best to offer parts for as long as possible, but once they are gone, we do not see any future offerings being realized.

We do have some new SJM430 E3 tail housing and rotor head upgrade kits available that should help keep some of you flying. Contact us for more details.

Again, I apologize.

Regards,
Scott

Yes, it is sad as I really like the SJM helis. I've got a couple of 180's right now and was hoping to get a 430 some day...

Yes, it's a shame. Surprising as well seeing as there have been test videos of a new 600 size SJM over the past few months.

I just bought a 325....
What's the chance of getting hold of the CAD files for the parts?
Non-existent I should imagine

as I understand it now that SJM may continue just not with direction or input from RC-TEK so there may be some hope yet? Fingers crossed LOL http://www.sjmhelicopter.com/ http://www.sjm-rc.com/product_info.p...products_id=1&

This is sad news. I have been impressed with the design of these helis and think they had real potential. Just needed some big budget marketing to bring them into the mainstream.

Does anyone have any spare parts out there? I have a the 500proV3 in need of a main shaft. Or some CAD files would be useful to get the parts made locally. I am thinking of measuring up the parts and taking to a local CNC shop.

I am a little p*ssd off in the fact i have spent a fair amount of cash (as everyone else here) to have a heli that i cannot use due to a bent mainshaft. Should have bought the Protos

RC-Tek was the first place i tried. I bought the 500V3 through them. Unfotunatelly even they have limited stock, and no main shafts.

I have also e-mailed skyhobbies with no reply
http://www.skyhobbies.com.sg/Electri...00V3_Parts.htm

and http://www.sjmhelicopter.com/ who also have very limited supplies.

are there any other suppliers around that may be of help???

It is a pity that RC-Tek were unable to get SJM back up and running, these helis have so much potential...

That's irritating. I just finally received my SJM 430. Now what do I do knowing there's no support in the future for it...

Most likely will never fly it knowing that if I break something I will have to make the part's myself.

Time to go buy a Trex I guess.

Hi ,

we are the last dealer of SJM and we would push the SJM Business. But
now is sjm closed. No more parts in production. We will by all parts
from stock but at a long time is teh contact dead to SJM. The boss is
very sick and have new Company for pens.
You need parts you can look under mans-toy.de it is our end user shop.
But many parts are out.

Juergen

This is the response i just received not too good.

Default Have a 500 for anyione looking for parts

It looks like the SJM parts issue is a real problem so for what it is worth, wanted to let you know that I have a complete SJM that can be used for parts, or finished and flown. It has some spare parts with it, like three main shafts (saw that in this thread that was a problem for some) and several main gears. I just don't know enough about SJM's to tune it properly so it is best that it goes to one of you who can use it, fly it, or part it out. Here is the for sale thread: https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=218524

Good luck!
