Ok, I realize that I'm not David, and that he has replied, but we were there last year in a 38 foot Motorhome, and will be there again in it this year. It shouldn't be a problem.

Hey, David, is there anyway that we can have the same spot again this year? Like behind where the food pop-up trails was?

There is map and GPS coordinates several posts back. You will see I-459 on the map. I-459 runs from I-59 on the southwest side of Birmingham ( Bessemer area) to I-59 on the northeast side of Birmingham (Trussville area). The exit on I-459 ( Exit 6) that goes to the flying field is about 7 miles west of where I-65 crosses I-459.

Just a little over a month till the event. Weather here over the last several days has been Spring like. Temps during the day have been in the mid 60's to low 70's. Has been cooler at night, but no freezing temps for a week or so now. So hopefully this weather trend will continue and we will have some great weather for the event.
But as all of you know that have attended the event before. You know how quickly the weather can change here. LOL
Hope to see a lot of friends that have attended the event in the past. So mark the event on your calendar and start making plans to attend. We will start having pilots arrive on Wednesday and they will stay at the field till Monday.
Always a fun time, see you at the event.

I may try to drop down for this for a day. I'll see how it goes and make it if I can. Sounds like an awesome event!

Went out to the flying field yesterday where the event is held. Field is in great shape and several members were enjoying the weather and burning some electrons and nitro.
4 weeks till the funfly. Haven't gotten good response from some of the manufactuers and they have sent some nice items for the pilots raffle. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Right now the weather is on a cycle, we have 3-4 days of temps in the 60's low 70's and then a couple days of the temps in the mid 40's and up. So hopefully in the next 4 weeks the higher temp days will be more and the lower temp days will be less. Will report back in a couple of weeks about how the weather is doing around here.
