Default 12V Computer Power Supply

I have been trying to make a 12V power supply for my Cellpro 4s Charger and I would like to add the following.

MAKE SURE you check the voltage of the "to be transformed" computer power supply.
I had drilled holes for the female banana plugs and the flip switch to turn the supply on and off, but even though the DELL supply says it is a 12V system it only puts out 10.99V

Just a reminder if you do want to make one of these. (which is a fun project by the way) make sure you check the voltage and also when drilling holes make sure no metal shavings will be getting in the power supply. This might prevent shorting and eventually a fire.

ps: I didnt make this video, This is a courtesy of Nightflyer. Thanks!

Some people have claimed that in order to get a full 12V out of a computer PS, you have to put a load on the 5V.

Check out these links...

In order to increase the output voltage, you must decrease the load resistor size...here's a discussion of how... http://web2.murraystate.edu/andy.bat...java_table.htm

Ended up buying a new 320W microATX ad now has a nice and steady 12.3V output.
