Default Scorpion 130A Opto - Setup Help

Hi,

On the initial setup of the 130A Opto it says that I have to perform throttle range from minimum and maximum end points 0-100%, Except only if I am using Air Mode 2.

Okay in the manual it says that the Air mode has 2 modes 1 & 2.

Mode 1 is Activate the Airplane mode
Mode 2 is External Governor mode

Mode 1 is default.

Now I am not using any gov at the moment and I am using this on a heli, so which one do I need to choose?

Thanks!

I think you should leave it as default, as long as you have selected heli mode ss1, with softstart.

Always check spool up without blades.

Else perform throttle calibration as per manual.

One more question.

Do I need the Opto Coupler Cable if I'm not running any Gov?

I'm using Mini Vbar.

So the Opto Coupler Cable is only use if you are running Gov?

Thanks!

I'm not sure what you mean by opto coupler cable?

If you want to run external govenor, in a fbl unit, you need the phase sensor cable.

If you run without, or with internal govenor no extra cable are needed.

Hi,

I am talking about this cable.

I guess you only need this if you are using external governor such as vbar?

Please confirm.

Thanks!
