Yesterday I tried to find video of my Protos 425mm (standard with sab blades) flown on 3S 2200mAh Gens Ace 55C (and 40C)... With standard 15T it gave slightly over 1570RPM (with perfectly goes with your RPM @ 14T) at full throttle... Definitively want governed.

Anyway - flying higher than you I was able to flip, roll and even do a few slow motion piro flips (quite similar to https://www.helifreak.com/showpost.p...3&postcount=37 but much higher as I wasn't that good). It was inspired by this thread Protos 500 EXTREME - here's the post.

If I find the video (won't be good quality - that was original reason I didn't publish it on youtube) I'll post it.

Nice. I've been reading about people flying 6S helis with a 3S so that's why I wanted to try myself.

How was the CG on that Protos with a 3s packs?

It's much easier to get good CG with half cell count lipo on a heli that uses sliding Lipo tray under the belly...

CG was bad. Way too tail heavy especially with the stretch even with the battery mounted way forward. If I were really serious about flying 3S, I would probably fly 2 2200 packs in parallel.

Piro-flipping at 60fps (at original speed if you play back at 2X speed with Youtube's HTML5 player). Or play it back at 1X speed and you get smooth slow-mo.

Kind of bored yesterday so flew a bit lower and closer than normal. I planned to fly thru' the gap between the 2 trees but misjudged distance and hit a twig. Only damage was the reflective paper which is overdue for replacement anyways.
