I just got a couple of V1 last week. These things are a blast! Hard to believe how well they fly.

The package I bought came with about a dozen pairs of blades, main and tail. 15 servos. 3 tail motors and booms. A little bit of everything except extra main motors and I have a spare on the way. Was able to make two 100% flight ready birds. I got 3 bad 3in1's in the box too. May send them off for repair so I can assemble a few more. Really surprised at how happy I am with this little bird. Maybe more so than with the 180CFX. If I find a ridiculous deal on a MCPX BL I'll grab it but for now the brushed setup works just fine for me.

I have a 180 CFX too and Nano CP S and my favorite has always been the MCPX.

Those are mostly AEO parts and not very reliable. Especially the main gears and servo links.

So I have a spare board. Where is the good stuff? I know nothing about the brushless upgrades.

EBay is pretty good for parts. The head parts, swash, main shaft gear and servos from the mcpx bl work out. The head from the bl is great because it has bigger grip bearings and feathering shaft.

As for landing gear the xtreme lading gear for the cpx comes with the battery mount and the pieces for the mount, I also think the gear legs are slotted a bit to fit either heli. If you have a stock one that's still good it's best to boil them, then add paper clip reinforcement and heat shrink to the legs. I also reinforce the battery mount and the areas you can't heat shrink by the pins with white gorilla glue. It makes a good indestructible landing gear that's lighter than the aftermarkets.

A good bit of scotch tape on the inside of the canopy keeps it from breaking into pieces and makes it last a long time.

The tail motors from the cpx/cps also work on the mcpx and the xtreme 7mm turbo tail works awesome too.

It's also a good idea to reinforce the canopy pins before they break and the frame will last a long time.

There's still plenty of parts out there to keep the original mcpx flying for some time to come.

I am using a mCPX board and servos with a Hisky HCP100 frame, main motor and tail motor. The main motor of the HCP100 is more powerful and the 7mm tail motor prevents tail blowouts.

It is possible to use HCP100 servos as well but you have to switch the wiring.
