just tried out the bailout, works great, but, it seems to only get a goof rampup the first time i use it, after that its really slow to start.

i upped my low throttle endpoint, that helped to fix the first bailout, but the bailouts after that are slow.

What is your bailout timer set to?

And, are you changing setups after the first auto to reset the bailout?

Also, a desription of the hardware you are using in your setup might be helpful.

Let me know....

timer is set to 15, ramp is at 40

no, i'm, flying up high, hitting throttle hold, letting it fall 20 feet, bailing out. That first one works great and fast, if i do it again, the spool up is slower.

i spooled up on the ground to full speed, hit t-hold, waited till the light stopped blinking, spooled up again, hit t-hold and check to make sure the light was blinking again, it was. I think it's all working right.

This was on my atom 500, 1050 kv motor, hobbywing sensor, 2750 headspeed, castle ice 100 set to multirotor.

does it take into account how low your headspeed is when it bails out? It seems like the lower my headspeed is, the softer the bailout is.

i'm not unhappy with it, it let me auto my 500 today, i've never auto'd a 500, it was way easier than i thought it'd be, but 1 bailout i def dipped my tail blades into the dirt, no biggy.

When you say "if I di it again" does this mean in the same descent?

Are you using any mixes in your radio?

Do you change setups after the first auto attempt to reset the bailout timer?

In regards to rpm it has no way to monitor this when you are in a TH condition. The motor isn't rotating at this point so no way to know...

I will have a talk with Thomas on this later and see if there is any side effect that could occur from this.

Thanks for the info...

Good write up!
I now have a better understanding, of how to accomplish via fbl unit what was happening with castle esc.
Believe I am going with castle set to multirotor.

This info is still good for ikon2 correct?
