I'm settled back down to 3800rpm HS than the higher 3900-4000 or 4S setup. I like 3800rpm better because it's more civilized and more enjoyable and encouraging to fly moves. Anything higher it's tempting to just stick-bang the thing. Besides, now I like to watch 3800rpm HS piro flips on video. I used to like 3700 where the blades seem to stop during piro flips. At 3800 the blades seem to spin the same speed as the heli's piro rate but in the opposite direction. Makes for some cool visual effect during piro flips on video.
Oh, the Graphene is holding up very well at 3-minute-to-80%-discharge spec. Before the Graphene, anything more aggressive than 4-minute-to-80%-discharge spec was hurting lipo longevity.

A little demo of overspeed. Not prominent or sustainable for this size heli compare to bigger ones.

Yeah, my stretched Protos (470mm blades) with the OWB-delete mod holds overspeed longer than my 300X with OWB mod.

DoubleCH, I have a 300CFX with at Lynx's EOX 2214 motor with 13T, and run it at 3500 rpm head speed I just started flying last year and I am using the Tail in to 8's in 6 months lessons so I am not a hard 3d flyer just starting to learn some basic flips. As of now I am just using some 3s 1300 30c Turnigy batteries. I am wanting to get another 6 batteries to replace the old ones they have about 67 cycles on each one. As of now I am flying like 3:30 min which takes them to 3.78 each cell. Of corse latter on I would like more power so would you recomend the Graphene 3s 1300 or go up to a 4s nano tech. I am sure its going to take a few years just to get to some good 3d moves for me. Thanks for all the info you have posted for us new guys. You and some others have paved the way to showing us how to set up a 300X or 300CFX to fly awsome. Thanks again keep up the good work.

12T would've been enough to hold 3500rpm HS while yielding longer flight time than 13T. But unless you have the 12T ready and you really want to gain some flight time, no need to go buy a 12T and swap. If not being a Graphene tester I would still be flying my Hyperion 2213 motor at 3500. Very battery-friendly and very capable HS. 3600+ HS and 4S is more for show-off and into the "hyper" zone. I feel more comfortable learning/practicing at 3500/3600 than 3700+. 4000 is just ridiculous.

I do have a 12T so I can change it to the 12T. I would like a little longer flight. I went from a Turnigy 2215 to the EOX 2214 WOW what a change but did loose some flight time. Sounds like the Graphene with a 12T is a perfect match.

Graphene 3S 1300 is a better match with 13T only because the Graphene is able to handle the higher power draw when you run 3600-3800rpm HS (3 mins hard 3D flight time). If you run 3500rpm HS, then 12T is more optimal with slightly longer flight time available.

Thanks I will keep that in mind. I will not be doing hard 3D. I did try the 12T last night and got a extra 30 sec of flight time. I take my batteries down to about. 3.76 to 3.78 per cells depends on the batt.
