Default SAVOX frequency ?

Hi, what frequency should I use for a SAVOX 0262MG on the tail please ?

The specs on their website are 200-250 and there are 167 and 270 available on the AR7200.

Higher or lower ? What is the impact of the frequency ? Speed / response ?

I've been trying to confirm the same thing for a HS-0257MG cyclic servo. I've read anything from 165Hz - 333Hz !!

I'd go for 200Hz I think!!, but that's for my cyclic servos!!

If you go too high, you'll burn out the servo prematurely

For the HS-0262MG, some are using 270, some using even 333 without trouble. I can't seem to find a definitive answer.

Hi, Red flashing = 165 . Red solid = 270. Blue solid = 560 Hz.

I'll try Red flashing first.

I run my SH0262MG on 270hz. There is a thread on the 300x forum. page 5 Servo Summary post number 19. I also run the SH0264MG at 270hz, neither get very warm.

I received the following directly from Savox.

To answer your questions:
1520 US pulse width, 250 - 333hz for orange servos and 200-250hz for the black line.

Their first message wasn't *exactly* clear. A response to "these servos are black and orange."

Your servos are 250-333hz. Any of our servos that have the orange band are classified in that hz rating. Alternately a servo such as SC0252mg is a perfect example of our 'black' line with the 200-250hz rating.

Humm, interesting!! does this only apply to tail servo's?

I have the orange banded 0257 cyclic servos. IFAIK, they should be set up to run at 200Hz, which is bellow the 250 - 333 Hz range, obviously.

I recently put a 0262 in the tail of my 450x with MSH Brain FBL and I could not get the tail to behave. I went nuts trying to iron out vibrations that never bothered this machine before.

Out of desperation I switched from 250 to 333hz.
Problem solved, and it runs cool.

Think I'm going try the 0264 on the 450X at 333. I got it at 270 but it does not hold as good as my 0262s on the 450 3d conversion and 300x, they are amazing though set at 270.
