using futaba s-bus and wired per instructions, problem is the receiver will not power up or bind. my power is to the esc port on the Gpro but does not power the receiver. if I put power directly to the receiver it will power up and bind but have no servo functions, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Just a thought, but I believe that power + & - on the Gpro is shared throughout all the connectors through a buss circuit and the signal pins are unique to each circuit on the Gpro itself. That being said, double check polarity of your connections between receiver and Gpro on the Sbus cable.

ESC goes to throttle port of Gpro and battery or BEC to battery port of Gpro.

I'd have to agree. Switched to a Gpro from 3GX on my Microheli framed 300X due to having trouble getting it dialed in. Took a bit, but the convenience of bluetooth made the job a lot quicker than with the 3GX, going through the computer interface. Now switching all 4 of my heli's to Gpro, for consistency more than anything. Had ok luck with the 3GX for a beginner. Can't say as there's a whole lot of difference in the way the two fly, but I'm not 3D pilot either.

You sure can't beat the price they can be got for. I love how they setup and fly. I put one in my Goblin 380. Love how they feel in the air. Very connected feel. Does not get the respect it deserves.
