I'm still getting use to the size of the 500, it makes me nervous, so this is really very tame.

I felt kind of left out, so I thought I would try to load a pic of my two 500's. Hope it works.

A little more confidant and my first try at a tic-toc with a T-rex 500 (near the end of the flight)

Well, depends on how you look at it. The heli pretty much controls its own destiny. Provided all works well; $800 or so kinda trumps $300, so I figure the Heli is the master. It is my master because I am constantly fooling and tinkering with the Dang thing.

I have noticed a trend. Top pilots that are not paid by spek all seem for the most part to use Futaba? it seems no mater how many features they add we all end up going back to the true and tested. I must say using futaba 2.4 for four years I have never in my life had a brown out. I have never had to rebind. and I am smart enough to look at the screen and see the heli I have programmed is in the window.

21 years ago I started with a Futaba racing a Bolink Eliminator pan car. No problems then, and still no problems today. I just like to stick with what works.

I'm a Futaba guy too...started in the mid 80s and always had a trouble-free experience with their stuff.

How do you like the 8J? Looks like a mix of the 6J and the 8FG.

A lot of topic here, but it's not like a lot of people are posting. I have found the Fr sky RX's work 100% and have had them flying for two years no problems. Corona not reliable at all.

36 years ago when I started I bought Futaba. At that time not many choices available. But I only fly for a few years. 20 year ago I started RC car, I bought Futaba pistol style radio. I still have it and still works. 3-4 years ago I started flying helicopter, I bought 7C and just last month I bough 8FG. I like them all.
I have 1 Orange Rx I use for several years and 1 Frsky just 1 month. Both works great. I heard Corona is not that good.

So far, I am loving this radio. Once I figure out how to program single servo mixing with a 90 degree swash, I'll love it even more. I was using the FS-T6 transmitter but I cannot achieve single servo mixing with it, so I had to upgrade. I have to have that to set up the Microbeast. I love the feel of it as well. I'd recommend it to anyone who is toying with the idea of getting one.
