Looking at their track record over the last few years, it is easy to think they maybe heading that way.

Personally, I beleive they just exist to sell cheap entry level heli's to the uneducated noobs that struggle to get started in the hobby. Then preceed to rip off said noobs on spares, that are always poorly stocked in the exclusive e-sky distribution network.

I think they recently announced, or actually released a FBL model, but the head design didn't look anything new, or like there were any improvements to the other electronics (Servo's/ESC/motor).

I do wish they would raise their game a little, but I doubt it will ever happen, and eventually they may go bump. But for now, I'm going to stay here and warn people away from their heli's, expensive and hard to find spares. Of course, apart from the people who have already made the ill judged leap of faith to e-sky, and just need some advice how to get the thing working as you would/might expect when sold a brand new RTF model.

They have alot to learn from E-Flite IMO They are not perfect either, but at least they do a better job on quality and stock, given the demand

Well, last week I was handed a wrecked HoneyBee CP3 by a friend. He didn't even get to spool it up when it suddenly chicken danced itself into needing £80 worth of spares!! Just plugged in to try it, stepped back to spool up, and it just happened (he swares it wasn't idel up).

I checked it over for him and after discussing the spares list (he's a motor mechanic by trade), he decided he's selling it off for spares. Thanks to my advice, he's now looking at getting a DX6i, 130x and SIM. He's already got an RC car and flying a co-ax, so I think a tamed 130x should be a good CP starter for him.

When I was looking round for e-sky parts, I looked at about 5 different places, some had more spare parts listed than others, but all were out of stock on alot of things. I had to draw up a spreadsheet showing which three shops he had to order the 14 different parts from. And it always seemed to be that way a few years back, when I needed to replace even the few stock parts that remained on my belt-cp.

As mentioned though, for the people that do have a belt, or had one, a few parts can be upgraded and it made more reliable, thanks to it being more t-rex and e-flite compatible. And they can be tweaked almost endlessly, until no stock parts remain. But by that time, you'll probably have spent enough for 2 t-rex's and a comp TX, which you really wanted to buy in the first place before you settled on the 'easier' e-sky RTF package Which is more like what I did myself
