Default What, no paper manual???

I just received my Mini Protos kit in the mail! Woo-Hoo go Experience RC dot com!! Steve and crew ROCK!!

I was unloading the parts bags and was kinda disappointed to find a CD, instead of the trusted "Book of Instruction" I am so used to finding in every kit I have ever built

Any of you other new owner/builder find the same thing CD but no manual?

I bought my mini P used and it came with a paper manual.

I am not too fused if its on cd or paper.

I got a used P500 recently and got no mauals so had to download and print a manual.

I think all new kits Mini P or P500 come with CD

The book of instructions, to me, is a part of the allure of buying and building a new kit!

I like to open the box unload the goodies, then salivate while thumbing through the manual cover to cover...

Oh well times r a changing... I wasted the ink and printed a copy, guess I'll have to get a 3 ring or some form of organizer to keep it together...

It's actually quite readable on a 10 inch tablet. Don't forget to look at thunder fighter's build thead, you can search this forum or I've been building a collection of links on my weblog on this site, it's there.

Default What would be worse is Paper Only.

I like a paper manual too but much prefer the digital one. Given the choice of paper or digital, I would choose digital. I would rather print it than scan it. The digital one allows you to blow up the images so you can get more detail if needed. The paper one lets you make notes. Notes can be important because the manual has so many errors in it. Also tracking the size of things like pitch links allows you to make repairs easier rather than figuring it out all over again. I think MSH underestimated the value of a printed manual. Even a nice 2 page instruction sheet explaining the manual would be cool. The CD as it is could be much better too. They could have filled it with cool stuff.

The manual really lets the Mini-P down. All versions - CD, website have errors. MSH can't be bothered to correct them

With hindsight I should have marked up all the errors and then updated / posted it for others.

My manual was a stack of papers stapled together. A CD and a trip to Kinkos would have been ideal.
