I noticed that. I think I might have got the last one. I accidently put two in my cart and it said they didn't have enough stock to fill my order. Last time they sold out, they had them back in stock in a few days.

I got my Blade 450 3D today. Man it's going to be hard not to try it out. Need to get some flight time with my MCP X before I give this bad boy a try.

Get training gear and a nice big parking lot to slide around on. Then go for it! Make sure you check the mechanical setup first!

I'm struggling with whether I should get training or not. I can hover my 120 SR pretty well and am now working on a nano CPX.

I got the 450 off the ground on its first flight without tipping, the problem was I let it get too high, it drifted back over my head before I could get it under control and then I just panicked and dumped it (with TH in before it hit thank god). So should I go for the the training gear? Is it going to be that much different than my other two birds?

I was saying no, as long as you're able to fly your other two helis around just fine, training here won't help you much.

I've got a 3 acre yard, about half of it is pretty open. Hopefully I can get some flight time with my mcpx this weekend if the wind isn't too crazy. I have to say... the 450 is tempting me to try it out... I am tempted to put the training gear on it for a little peace of mind.

Speaking of tuning it up, This might be a stupid question but how can I tune in up o its More faster in response and speed? Im newish myself. also How Can I chance the headspeed? Mine seems slow or low

Up your dual rates for faster cyclic response, and up your throttle curves (normal and/or idle up) for more head speed.

No problem. The 450 flies like a pig until you up the rates, and then it's a pretty fun little heli!

So finally took the training gear off and flew for the first time last night. Woohoo! Taking off and flying isn't the worry for me - it's landing! LOL I'm still at basic hovering and some minimal flying around tail-in stuff - but I've found that this thing can get going pretty quickly!

Well I have the mcpx and the 450 3d. Actually I have two mcpx's and fly them almost daily.....I usually do about 5 batteries each for a total of 10....I've logged a LOT of time on them both in the air and on the bench and on my sim........

But they did not prepare me well enough for my first flight with the 450 3D.....

I got 60 seconds for my maiden flight....and then nose plant!!!!!!!
Everyone said I did really good!!! But I was demoralized......

Maybe it was cause I had an audience of the club or maybe the rush of a bigger heli....not sure but my hovering went out the winder.....fast.....I was all over the place....It was a completely different feel and experience....

But it taught me a lot!!!
like stick control....the last two days of simming I have improved a lot.....because I now am concentrating on what I need to be praticing........

I have learnt how to fix the head, swash, feathering shaft, main gears, Bell mixing arms, balancing the blades and flybar and the total head etc......

Now I am just struggling with getting the little screw in the bottom of the OWB gear to hold the main shaft in......I think I have the OWB gear messed up......but I am on to my LHS tonight and they may be able to straighten me out....If not the club Heli Master sure will!!!

From now on it will be Buddy box until I calm down an can get my hover under control.......

But looking a few months back I was crashing my mcpx a lot.....but now I hardly crash at all......and if I do I have the spare parts to fix it...

I assume that it will be the same with the 450.....hopefully I will crash less and fly more with the 450

but what a rush!

I so enjoy watching the addiction grow stronger! Does that make me a bad person?

I love my Blade 450

Gets a lot of use and I find it very stable and well setup right out of the box.

The first few times I flew it, my DX6i batteries went flat when I was hovering about 3-4ft

The 450 went to zero throttle, but just settled on the grass obviously with no inputs from me !

Lots of flights later and it's still as new, no crashes.

I use fresh batteries in the Tx now !
