Hi Josh,

I've been using HC-3Xtreme on all my fbl machines for quite sometime now. But this is the only time that I knew how to use the other functions after watching your videos and also I give credit to the HC in-house video.

Thanks for your time. We need people like you in this hobby.

Cheers,
John

You're welcome.

I intend to do a similar series for Jeti once the new bavarianDemon software update is available, and once my DS-16 is in hand.

You know all my servos jitter like crazy while it is sitting still. Is that normal? Three DS615's and one MKS DS760. The tail jumps the worst.

Thanks! it's one thing to make noise, but to jump around with nothing running and not touching it was a bit of concern.

The aligns just make sound the MKS jumps, but that may just be the .02 second speed lol!

Although I was having issues with my tail jumping here and there in flight with the other servo I had on it. I got the MKS thinking it was the servo, Maybe it wasn't?

Default 1st time setup NO RD response

Thx for the great videos.

I have been able to do a lot of setting up thx to these great videos.

However I must be doing something wrong.

I followed the video and under function set ch8 to aux1 and to RD.
In my diagnose menu Head Gyro channel shows 2% but does not move when turning RD.

I also went to the GYRO menu (I only see 1 gyro to set eg GYRO(RUD) while in the video I see more options). Normal=ON, AVCS, Rate = 80%, LD +20%. This results in on the Diagnose page LD at mid = 80%, turn all the way right = 61%, all the way left = 100%.
Is the LD setting OK?
How do I get the RD to work, what am I missing?
thx for the enormous help and time.

Did you create a new model in the radio when you started your setup?

Also - make sure you inhibit the default knob functions.

WOW tx for the quick reply.
I had started with a new model.
I had not inh the ld and rd for Pitch curve and throttle curve which I have done now.
However the result is the same as in my previous post. eg LD moves from tail from 61% to 100%, RD does nothing.
THX

Did you go all the way in both directions and make sure your end points are calibrated in the diagnose page?

Endpoints have been calibrated at 100% for Aileron/Roll, Rail (rudder), Elevator and C.Pitch..
Also via the trim switches on the TX (8FG) i have set the mid point to 0 for aileron, tail and Elevator.
I think that somewhere I should "link" the RD to head gyro.
My Head gyro is on ch 7. Ch 8 is empty. Should I not link ch 7 to something in the TX?

Rob

Yes I had set it up according to the video. Rechecked all off that just now and it is as in the video.
I also tried both ch 7 and ch 8. But nothing happens.

Do I need to set something in the Prog Mix menu?

PS The head gyro channel on the diagnose menu does not move at all when moving any of the knobs on the TX.

Just been playing around on the TX. When I go into "sub trim menu" on the 8FG and increase or decrease the "7 GOV", the gauge does move on the diagnose page. Any help in solving this?
Thx

Check if your frequency is MLT2 General. If it is not an option you need to update the firmware in the radio. Also verify that it is moving on the servo monitor screen on the radio.

Check to make sure you have the channel assigned in the RC tab correctly. The spot with all the blocks with numbers.

My freq is 7CH. I have tried MLT2 and MULT but then it does not bind with my R6007SP.

Josh, I have again restarted with a new model in the TX and done exactly as is instructed. eg set ch 8 for Head gyro. I have left output alone (eg on ch 0).
Set the RD knob as instructed and in the servo page it shows it moving.
When I now go to the diagnose page all the received inputs are green EXCEPT "Head gyro ch."?
State of operation, rigid stab, tail gyro and heading hold are all green.
Rob

Just saw that on the Freq menu on the TX when selecting 7Ch it states "CH8: INVALID".
