Default gov or fixed end points on e700

Hi all,,getting real close to finishing up my new E700!
Iam ready to set up my C.C edge 120HV esc now..
Wondering if most are using gov.mode or fixed end points..
Ive been using gov on my other helis (goblin 630/700).
If gov,can someone give me some good starting head speeds to set it up..
It has the NICK MAXWELL motor and stock pinion...
thanks for any advice...Iam getting very excited to take it out!!!

set up is..n.m motor
castle edge 120 HV
outrage 9180/9188
IKON controller
RAIL 696 ,main and 116 tail bladed

As you already have an edge esc and an ikon, I'd set up external governor on the esc, and use the one in the ikon.

Going to external governor has made a noticeable difference for the better on all the helis I've tried it on.

I agree, the Ikon/Brain gov feels more consistent than the cc gov. Especially if you plan to fly head speeds other than the max governed head speed.

As far as rpm, the calc says you can govern up to 2100 rpm if you want to go that high.

What do you guys think about or using fixed end points on the C.C edge 120hv..
Ive been running the esc gov set to around 1950 but the ESC is getting kinda hot..
I think running fixed end points will lower the ESC temp?
Also,its been very warm out and prob.should put some cooling holes in the canopy..
your thoughts ??
