I just started with a SK540 on my Compass Atom550.
So here's my setupfile: posted in : https://www.helifreak.com/showthread...=445041&page=4
I disovered I couldn't upload the same file on 2 posts, so linked it.

My setup is as follows:
Atom 550, stock blades, KBDD tailblades 84.5 mm
swashservo's align DS510
Tailservo : align DS650
ESC kontronik Jive 60 amp with heatsink

My endpoints for cyclic in the TX are 30/32 (bank 1 / bank 2).
I locked the tailgain, and switch the tailbank with thesame switch as the cyclic banks.
Only difference in the tailbanks is the controlrate.

If you have improvements, be my guest.
I'm still in the adjusting fase. Finding the best settings for my flyingstyle (mild 3D).

I'm still working on getting my 450 Pro dialed in on the 540. Once I get it worked out I'll post up my file and specs. Like Spork I'm curious to find out what others are running.

Would be great to get the set-up from someone who has fully tuned their 450Pro with the SK540. I'm gradually getting mine where I like it, but it still tends to drift with the wind, and I'm not sure what I should be adjusting to make it more stable.

Post Skookum 720 help please?

HI all

I am new here especially with the Skookum so please help?

I have a Skookum 720 setup on my heli.

I have done all the wizard setups as were told. Now I have the issue of when I test and tilt the nose down, the Skookum is not countering the swash and instead gives extra pitch. this goes for Aileron as well as Elevator?

Is there any values I need to setup to negative instead of positive or what do I need to do or is this normal. As far as I know and have learned that it is suppose to counter?

And what would be the ideal pitch settings neg , mid and pos?

Any help will be much appreciated please?

Heli:

Scale BO 105
OS 90 SZ
JR 8301 digitals
ALign ds 655 tail
Vario 4 blade head and Vario scale blades
Robbe Shluzer Millenium 90 size frame

Regards

=] what swash type / mechanics is this? we set the Tx to 1 servo 90 deg. then set the SK software to (usually) eCCPM swash types, ie, how many servos are connected to the swash? in your settings you have a one servo (raptor type) cradle selected, this is probably not the case?

goto the preferences tab and select advanced for the interface, reset the servo travels to defaults, and use the 60/60/45% swash mixing to get the travels you want for collective and cyclics,

we can look at the tail after she has flown, it's currently in rate mode, you may well want this? but the travels are limited on one side, see how it performs as is first.

georgi.

Smile Sorted!!

GOt it sorted Georgi

Found that the 1 servo 90 degree was correct. The problem found was that I had to reverse the aileron on Skookum software and put Elevator to Norm, then had to change my stings on the TX, had to reverse my Ail and Ele to reverse. NOw all is working like a well oiled machine and the swash is staying level and countering as it is suppose to be.

Thx a lot for your help and much appreciated.

ALso like to thank Grant aka thefrog for helping me via Skype and landline for almost an hour. Thx buddy, Much appreciated. Ur one superstar and now she will be ready for Scale Fun FLy day here in Gauteng, South Africa!!

Regards all u good friends

Ta!

=] just be sure the swash type is correct, you have a 90 deg 4 point type

not a 1 servo raptor setup,

just playing safe here!......

Default Goblin 500 + 720 + Pwr Bus + GPS

Ok big to the Skookum team for an awesome product. Just completed my first ever build - a Goblin 500 - with 720 + Pwr Bus + GPS installed.

I've got some flight time on multi-rotors but nothing - until today - on singles. It took one battery pack to get a feel for the controls and responsiveness but I was off the ground in stable - controlled - hover on the second pack. I'm blown away.

I know I'm going to get grief from the veterans who have put in the hours without 'training wheels', But I cannot imagine learning to fly FBL without the support of auto-stabilization.

My 720 config file can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0zpv2dw6gj...blin%20500.sk7

I am running a flat throttle curve and a very soft pitch curve (-3 to +7) which also helps keep things under control for this newbie anyway

Unfortunately I'm travelling for the next three weeks but can't wait to get some real flight hours under my belt and to try out some of the GPS enabled capabilities.
